Be Tru-Cape Windgat this weekend in Pringle Bay
Get to Pringle Bay this weekend for The Tru-Cape Windgat Festival and Kogelberg Mountain Challenge.
Pringle Bay is on the R44, just over an hour from Cape Town. Starting with a Trash to Fash – Junk to Funk, recycling fashion show by local eco-school Pringle House on Friday night, it will be followed by the Tru-Cape Kogelberg Challenge, three staggered road and off-road races with 21.1km starting Saturday, September 7at 07h30 followed by a 10km at 10.30am and 5km fun run/walk at 12noon. Hot coals for the Tru-Cape Best Potjie will be ready from 7am and your potjie must be delicious and ready for sale and judging by 1pm. Funds raised from the sale go to Pringle House School. Snake and reptile expert Francois van Zyl entertains and educates children of all ages at 11am on Saturday at the Pringle House School and, later in the day at 2.30pm, conducts a guided 90-minute fynbos walk in the Brodie Link. Get your apple and pear cakes to Pringle House School by 11am for judging in the Tru-Cape Best Bake competition at 12.30pm. Cakes will be sold to raise funds for the school.
