Inflatable apple protector now yours to buy

Here is great news for all Tru-Cape apple fans who wanted our collectable, inflatable apple protector but weren’t able to get one as part of the promotion. These are now available for purchase directly from Tru-Cape at R75 each which includes R21.50 postage.

Aside from looking super cool, these gizmos actually protect your Tru-Cape apple or pear from being damaged even when dropped onto a hard tile surface. But don’t just take our word for it. Prof Wynand JvdM Steyn, of the Department of Civil Engineering at The University of Pretoria, thought our apple protector would perfectly illustrate the value of protective gear against bumps and bruises while transporting fruit to his students and conducted a few experiments to prove his point.

On September 17 2013 he found that an apple shattered after falling without our protector but despite sustaining numerous falls with the protector it came to no harm. He also found that deceleration almost halved with the protector proving its protective value.
