Gospel star wins with Tru-Cape

 

 

Felicia Marion, internationally acclaimed gospel artist who now lives in Johannesburg is one of the winners of Yuppie Chef vouchers in Tru-Cape’s Applesessorize your life competition.

She shot to fame in the 70’s with her group Joy and their hit song, for more than nine consecutive weeks on the Top 20, Paradise Road. Later she made a number of gospel recordings and now as an ordained minister with Raise His Praise International Ministries she spreads her love of Christ everywhere she goes.

It may be just a coincidence or perhaps something more but, when Tru-Cape’s PR man, Brian Berkman, was calling winners to notify them of the prize and the winner identified herself as Felicia Marion a memory stirred. In 1996, Berkman helped promote Felicia Marion’s album, My Heart Is His, but had lost touch with the star until now.

Marion says she always buys Tru-Cape apples and often enters competitions but has never before won.
